MOSCOW: Omani youth achieved a remarkable presence at the 5th International Youth Photography Competition held in Russia, affirming their artistic excellence and ability to compete in global forums through visual works that reflected the cultural and human identity of Oman.


This achievement was supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth (MoCSY), represented by the Oman Society for Arts.


Photographer Arwa bint Mahmoud al Jabri secured the gold medal for an artistic work carrying deep human dimensions, which earned praise from the international jury.


Additionally, she received three honorary awards for a collection of photographs participating in the competition.

Photographer Yassin bin Mohsin al Hajri also won a gold medal for a photograph documenting an Omani heritage scene in a distinctive artistic style, alongside earning a bronze medal and an honorary award for other works reflecting the authentic Omani environment and culture.


The competition witnessed a distinguished presence of several young Omani talents; photographer Amer bin Mohsin al Hajri received an honorary award for a visual work embodying the beauty and artistic details of the Omani desert, while photographer Iman bint Mohsin al Hajri earned an honorary award for a spontaneous, vibrant photograph reflecting the spirit of Omani society and its connection to environment and heritage. - ONA
